1st mmorpg
The first MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) is widely considered to be "Neverwinter Nights" (1991), developed by AOL (America Online) and Stormfront Studios. Key Details About Neverwinter Nights (1991): Platform: Played on AOLs online service (pre-World Wide Web). Gameplay: Featured text-based commands with simple graphics. Persistence: One of the first games where the world continued to evolve even when players logged off. D&D Setting: Based on Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D) rules. Other Early MMORPG Contenders: "MUD1" (Multi-User Dungeon, 1978) The first multiplayer online text-based RPG, but not graphical. "Habitat" (1986) A graphical online multiplayer world (not strictly an RPG). "Meridian 59" (1996) The first 3D MMORPG, often credited as a major influence. "Ultima Online" (1997) Popularized the genre commercially. "EverQuest" (1999) Brought MMORPGs into mainstream gaming. Conclusion: While Neverwinter Nights (1991) holds the title as the first graphical MMORPG, earlier text-based MUDs laid the groundwork. The genre truly exploded in the late 1990s with Ultima Online and EverQuest. Would you like details on any of these games?

The War Within brings so much fresh content to WoW. The new zones are absolutely stunning and the storyline is engaging. Been playing for 15 years and this expansion reignited my passion for the game.
The new raid content is fantastic with challenging mechanics. However, there are still some bugs that need to be ironed out. Overall a solid expansion that keeps me coming back for more.
